God’s Home Gym


“Jesus replied, “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him”.
John 14:23



God wants to be your home gym. He has no interest in being one of many gyms you train in. Don’t consider using God to advance your personal fighting career. He wants you in his training camp and under his roof now and always. He wants your locker in his gym. His office is open by the training floor. He wants his gym to be your point of reference. His name is on the back of your shirt.

For many this is a wild thought. They think God only wants to put them through hard workouts and send them home soar; God as a task master, not a loving trainer. The enemy wants us to think of God as a mysterious being, not a loving Father to run to when the fight gets tough. We think of God as a creator to call on when we are knocked down, not a loving trainer who will teach us how to remain standing during the fight. Our Father wants to be much more. He wants to be the one in whom “we live and move and have our being,” (Acts 17:28).

Remember, it is called a fight for a reason. However, we fight from victory, not for victory. Keep Fighting!
