The Corner Man

“After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples' feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him”.
John 13:5

The bell rings. You stumble back to the corner and collapse on your stool. Your face is bloody and your eyes are swollen from the fight. As you are trying to regain your senses, you feel the soft touch of Jesus wiping away the blood from your face while giving you cool water to drink. In the good fight, we are knocked down by failure at times. Jesus is assuming the role of our corner man He will clean us up and prepare us to answer the bell for the next round.

If you let him. The water of the corner man comes only when we confess that we have failed to follow the divine fight plan. Only when we confess that we have thrown forbidden punches during the fight.

We will never be refreshed until we confess we are hurt. We will never be pure until we admit we are filthy. And we will never be able to help others during the fight until we allow Jesus to help us with ours.

Remember, it is called a fight for a reason. However, we fight from victory, not for victory. Keep Fighting!
