Matthew 6:26,27 -
Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable that they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
The ChristJitsu Grandmaster used an analogy from nature to help explain prosperity to his students.
Some Anointed Fighters interpret this passage to mean that, since God is going to give them a championship, they don't need to do anything themselves. Therefore, they just stand around in the dojo and wait for God to act.
How does God feed birds? He provides for them, but He doesn't personally hand-deliver food to their nests! The birds don't just sit around and wait for God to stop by with their meals.
When the Grandmaster said the heavenly father feeds the birds, He meant that everything they need has been made available for them, but they have to step inside the Cage of Life and fight for it.
God does not throw the punches for you. He provides you with arms. God does not put you in the Cage of Life against fighters who keep their hands down every round. The Anointed Fighter has to feint, and work to hit his target. He has to keep working, working, working round after round until his anointed punches find their mark. He has to keep working, working, working until the eternal bell rings.
Sometimes, God doesn't give us all the resources we need to fulfill our championship vision because He has called other Anointed Fighters to provide them for us.
God is a God of provision. He is Jehovah-Jireh, "The Lord Will Provide." He provides everything, but He provides it after you step inside the Cage of Life and shut the door and begin the "good fight". Your obedience to your "good fight" affects not only your life but also the lives of those Anointed Fighters who will fight with you.
Remember, it is called a fight for a reason. However, we fight from victory not for victory. Keep Fighting.
Prayer:
Righteous Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I thank you for providing me with what is needed for eternal victory. May your perfect will be done in my life. AMEN
