GOING ON TO “PERFECTION” – GOD’S “COMMAND” [A Command Is Not An Option]

JESUS commands this in Matthew 5:48: “Be Perfect as your Father in heaven is Perfect”! Our Father is in heaven (in the spirit realm) and He is Spirit; therefore, our perfection is not to be in the natural (John 4:24; 1 Corinthians 2:14&15 and Romans 8:6-8). So, why have so many preachers been continually making statements like this, “no one is perfect”? Why have so many that say they “love the Lord” – yet they have openly opposed what God says? whereas His Word says such opposing is of the “spirit of the antichrist” (2 Thessalonians 2:4; 1 John 2:18&19, 22&23 and 2 John 7). Therefore, this says the Lord – as it is written in Revelation 3:2 (NKJV – typical unless noted, with emphasis and meanings inserted):

“Be [spiritually] watchful (Ephesians 6:18), and strengthen the things which remain [for us to do], that are ready to die [to our flesh]:
For, I [Jesus – the Head of The Church] have not found your works perfect before God.”

It is written in Zechariah 3:9&10 (also see: Zechariah 4:9&10) and 2 Chronicles 16:9:

“‘For behold, the Stone [Jesus: The Chief Corner-stone of Christianity (Matthew 12:10)] –
that I have laid before Joshua [Jehovah Means Salvation]: Upon the Stone [Jesus] are seven eyes
[the seven parts of God’s Name/Character/Image (Exodus 34:5-7 and Zechariah 4:10)]. Behold,
I will engrave its inscription [starting with the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:3-17)],’
Says the Lord of hosts, ‘And I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.’ ”

“For the Eyes of the Lord run [Jesus is looking] to and fro - throughout the whole earth -
to show Himself strong on behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him.”

Jesus Christ is the Image of God (2 Corinthians 4:4c; Colossians 2:9 and Hebrews 1:2&3); and He is God, and He is God’s Word, and He is Name of God; all of these things - manifested in the flesh (John 1:14; Philippians 2:9 and 1 Timothy 3:16). So, if Jesus is all the things and the “Head of the Church” (Ephesians 5:23&24), we ought to know and give close attention to what He says. God’s Word tells us what we must first do in order that we might become perfect – as He is Perfect. It is written in Hebrews 6:1&3:

“Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ [first principles (Hebrews 5:12)],
let us go on to perfection, … And this we will do - if God permits [allows].”

So, God says we go on to perfection - when “He Allows” us to do so. Why?!! Because perfection in Jesus is to have His Authority (Matthew 18:18 and Luke 10:18020). And with such awesome authority comes a lot of personal responsibility! I can tell you form my own spiritual growth experiences - we absolutely cannot begin to understand this knowledge (in our hearts) until we have ceased “deceiving ourselves”, and have become “Doers of The Word” (James 1:22). Only then can we “pull down religious strongholds that have exalted themselves (as idol gods) against the knowledge of God”, and “bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ”, His words (2 Corinthians 10:4&5). Therefore, the Lord has given for His Body the following prayer - to do every morning (Matthew 6:33), beginning with three (3) days of fasting - for pulling down religious strong-holds. As each man does this - God will allow that one to “go on to perfection” – as he continues in “the knowledge of God and of Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 1:2).

Yes, you must do a complete "Fast" (for three days)! That is exactly what “Saul” did in humbling himself before God; – then the Lord removed the "blindness" of false religious indoctrination, beliefs and practices from his "eyes". However, for us - prayer and fasting without “doing The Word” will not get the results we need. Some have said things like this; "fasting is not a command, therefore it is not for the Church today." Well, Jesus did not say that "He, The Father and The Spirit would come and dwell in those who keep His commands; but, in we who "keep His word(s)". So, notice "His words" in John 14:23&24a, and in Luke 5:35:

"If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will Love him, and
We will Come to him and make Our home with him.

He who does not love Me - does not keep My words [or: he who does not keep my words – does not love Me]; ..."

"But the days will come when the Bridegroom will be taken away from them [the disciples]; then they will fast in those days."

Therefore, fasting is a forgone conclusion by our Lord for all "Christians"! The Bridegroom was taken away two thousand years ago - and The Father sent His Spirit; so, we have need to fast to get our flesh under subjection - that we can “receive” (John 20:22) and "walk in the Spirit" (Galatians 5:16). You must become "doers" of all of God’s Word (James 1:22)! Therefore, why not try all The Word; it all works - when we work it, especially, together!! And then, as The Father has Promised, we will begin to see our land restored "in one day" (Zechariah 3:9). Jesus says this in Luke 12:48:

“For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; ...”

And we all know there is much to be given by God in our land. So please, read the following audibly - while imagining yourself before the Throne of God. If you “believe” (in your heart) all that that is in God’s Word, which the following prayer is composed, “you will be allowed to go on to perfection”.

Our Father Who Is - in Heaven; Hallowed be Your Name (Exodus 34:5-7); Your Kingdom come [in me] - Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven - for my personal life, ministry, work (business) and all my affairs. Give me this day my “Daily Bread” (Isaiah 1:19 and John 6:47&48), and forgive me of my trespasses as I forgive those who trespass against me. Lead me out of every temptation and deliver me from all evil – for Yours is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory - forever. I worship You, Father God, in the Beauty of Your Holiness; You are Great and Mighty in all the earth - and there are no other gods above You, Father; and I thank You for Your Son Jesus - Who Is my Savior, Lord, Master and Redeemer. Lord Jesus, I love You, I belong to You, and I thank You - that my name is written in the “Book of Life” (Revelation 3:5 and 20:5).

Father, I receive Your Spirit (John 20:22) to be my Comforter, Helper and Teacher; to Guide me in all truth, Teach me all things, Strengthen me; Bring to my remembrance all things and Show me things to come. I thank You for Giving me knowledge and understanding of Your Word, with Wisdom and Power to “overcome”. As You Lead me in the Way of Righteousness - my mind is being renewed to have the Mind of Christ.

Because I “abide in Him” - I am Healed and set free from every affliction, emotional stress, disease, sickness and allergy; Protected from all harmful bacteria, fungi, viruses and all deadly things. My veins, vessels, arteries, heart and lungs - all vital organs - are clean; My skin, muscles, joints, bones, eyes and ears are Made whole; All, because of the Sacrifice of Jesus - who was wounded my transgressions and bruised for my iniquities; The chastisement for my peace was upon Him and by His stripes I was healed. He is “the same yesterday, today and forever” (Malachi 3:6 & Hebrews 13:8); therefore, none of these things shall take root in me - because I belong to Jesus and Him alone do I serve.

Father, I ask Your forgiveness for my sins and disobedience to Your Voice or Your Word [iniquity] - any unrighteousness to this day. I ask that You Cover me with the Precious Blood of Jesus; Secure me in Your Grace and Goodness - that I may go forth in Your Love and Peace, entering into Your Rest. And with the abundant life that is in Jesus Christ – I have fullness of joy - because He Abides [lives] in me”. I “loose” Your holy angels to go forth and prepare the way that no hurt, harm nor danger shall befall me. I thank You that Your Spirit is upon all mankind - that Truth and Righteousness prevails, and I have abundant favor in the sight of all men - the decisions they make, things they say and the actions they take - gives me victory in all circumstances. I prosper in every activity and relationship, lacking no good thing - and You have a “hedge of protection around me.

Father I thank You - that victories are mine because the battles are Yours - and I hold my peace while You fight my battles. No weapon formed against me shall prosper and all who come against me shall fall into Judgment and Condemnation by you - for greater is Jesus that is in me, than he that is in the world. It is not by might nor power [human strength or authority] - but by Your Spirit (Zechariah 4:6) “I rule and reign with Christ” on earth as it is in heaven.

By Your Grace (1) my human spirit is re-born, (2) I keep my flesh under subjection [by frequent fasting], (3) my soul is being saved, (4) my mind is being renewed and (5) I have unfailing faith in Jesus [all of The Word], (6) walking in The Spirit; all which is (7) my “Salvation”, not of me - but by Your Gift; not that I have done anything to deserve Him - lest I should boast of carnal knowledge, natural strength and human ability. I am Your workmanship, created in Christ for Your Good Works - which You prepared before hand, that I should go forth in obedience to Your Word - trusting in all Your promises. Being a “Believer” of all, and a “Doer” of Your Word – that I may know Jesus in the Power of His Resurrection.

I Thank You Father - for all these things, and for granting me (Psalms 85:7 and Ephesians 3:16) to have “unfailing faith” (Luke 22:32) in Jesus Christ - and I proclaim it all, and receive it all - as done. A - Men!!!
